Ga-a-ame/Jeudi n°3: La petite Marseillaise.

Today we are the 8th of May 2011, 66 years since the armistice. This morning when I heard the Marseillaise played as memorial (the french's hymn), I decided to play mine as well. So I took my Melodica (Offered by Cynthia), my camera, and I recorded my Marseillaise.

For the 14th of July I'll make another one.

Voilà que nous sommes aujourd'hui le 8 Mai 2011, soit 66 ans après l'armistice. C'est en entendant la marseillaise en allant au marché ce matin, en mémoire des anciens combattants, que j'ai décidé de jouer la mienne. J'ai donc pris mon melodica, gentiment offert par Cynthia, mon appareil photo, et hop j'ai fait une vidéo. Pour le 14 juillet j'en referai une, différente.

The Shoes: 1er album, Crack my bones.

 

Here we have a duo that we won't forget soon! The Shoes is totaly IN what we want nowadays about music. They've just finished their first album called Crack my bones, which is exactly the everybody's will. I mean cool, dancy, just enaugh electronic, with ultra-catchy ryhtmes, and a full controle of the variations from one song to another one. In short, the album is over enjoyable.
So I asked myself if it's me, or if the band is as good as I say. And after research, it seams they're truthly good. Look, they did the big buzz in 2009 with "America", their songs have been used for series, parade. What else? They've had a huge amount of articles in the NME and other magazines as important as this one.
What makes this album so good? Easy, their cooperation. Esser, Wave Machines, CocknBullKid, The Bewitched Hand, Gonzalesn. All of them participated at the album's recording.
Anyway, I reckon the album. I say it loud and clear, The Shoes is my favorite of the moment.

En voilà un de duo français qu'on n'est pas près de renier! The Shoes est en plein dans la vague pop-electro  comme on l'aime de nos jours. Pour sûr ils n'ont pas loupé le coche. Ils viennent tout juste de sortir leur premier album intitulé Crack my bones, qui est juste l'exactitude de l'attente d'aujourd'hui. C'est à dire frais, dansant, avec des mélodies électros pas trop sur le devant, des rythmiques ultra-entraînantes à la batterie, des variations de style de main de maître d'une chanson à l'autre. Bref, l'album ne peut que être sur-apprécié par ceux qui l'écoutent.
Je me suis demandé si je délirais ou alors si le groupe était aussi aussi bon que ce que je l'avançais. Et bah non je ne me suis pas trompé, y a qu'à voir, le groupe a pas mal fait parler d'eux depuis 2009. Leurs chansons se sont vu utilisées pour un défilé, dans une série, ou encore ont fait l'objet d'une multitudes d'articles de NME et autre magazines de cet ampleur.
Bref, à quoi est dû la réussite de ce premier opus, facile, le casting de coopération des deux bonhommes. J'appelle à la barre: Esser, Wave Machines, CocknBullKid, The Bewitched Hands, Gonzales. Who else? En tout cas comme vous pouvez le voir, ça envoi du lourd.
Je conseil donc ce CD, et déclare officiellement The Shoes comme étant mon coup de coeur du moment.

Street Artist n°4: The Sonic Manipulator.

I know it's long last time I posted a Street Artist, but you'll pardon me with this one. Once more it's in Cambridge I saw, I tent to say this Daft Punk's fake. The desguise (home made I think) is quite well done, and even if the music (almost as well as the lyrics) is total bool shit, the show is pretty enjoyable. May be "funny" is a bit more appropriate here. If you want more information about him and which planet does he come from, check his website.

Je sais que ça fait un petit moment que je n'ai pas posté d'artiste du rue, mais celui-ci fera pardonner mon retard. C'est une fois de plus dans les rues de Cambridge que j'ai vu, je dirai, ce fake de Daft Punk. Le déguisement (sans doute fait maison) est plutôt bien réussi, et bien que la musique (presque paroles inclues) soit incompréhensible, le show reste sympa à voir. Quoi que "drôle" serai plus approprié. Si vous voulez plus d'informations sur lui et de quelle planète il vient, visitez son site web.

Air live from Six Fours.

That was the gift that my dear girlfriend offered me for my birthday: a super gig of the band Air live from Six Fours. Nota bene, Air comes from Versaille in France. It emerged at the same time than the best of the french pop rock other bands like Daft Punk, Phoenix, etc... Anyway, the band played the album Love 2 and some songs from other albums as well. The public, just like me, was in total adoration faced to this awesome concert.
I joined two videos, enjoy.

Voilà le cadeau que ma cher Copine de Tapouillon m'a fait pour mon anniversaire. Un super concert de Air à Six Fours. Pour information, Air est un groupe français originaire de Versaille qui c'est fondé et a émergé en même temps que le top de la pop rock électro française. J'entend par là Daft Punk, Phoenix et autres. Bref et à propos du concert, c'était tout bonnement génial. Le groupe a joué l'album Love 2, mais aussi quelques chansons des autres albums. Le public, comme moi même, était en extase à l'écoute du concert génialissime.
