Caravan Palace nouvel album: Panic (5th March 2012)

ENFIN!! Le voici le nouvel album de Caravan Palace. Je sais je sais, ça fait pas mal de fois que j'en parle. Mais justement, c'est pour souligner le talent du groupe.
Je vous ai parlé il y a très peu de temps de leur EP Clash, et bien voilà maintenant l'album qui sort aujourd'hui et qui, d'après moi, est TIP TOP.
Je viens de me faire l'album tout entier sans jamais m'en lasser. L'électro est toujours aussi bonne, le groove aussi, bref tout ce qu'on aimait.
Bon, on a quand même ici un album arrangé un peu différemment que le précédent, où l’acoustique des instruments est mêlé à l'électro des synthé pour donner une bloc de son plus uniforme. De même pour la voie qui, comme nous l'a dit hier notre amie Mamzel Bulle, semble être "plus lointaine."
Bref l'album est plus électro, mais on ne sent plaint pas, le style manouche qui les faisait se démarquer de tous les autres groupes mais surtout la dynamique de leurs chansons qui nous faisait danser pendant des heures entières sans JAMAIS ressentir la fatigue sont toujours là.
Allez écouter l'album dès maintenant au bas de l'article, pour ma part petit coup de cœur pour Dramophone.

FINALLY! Today is released Caravan Palace's new album: Panic. I know I talk a lot about them, but they are so good that I only can do so. 

I posted  recently their EP Clash, which was just a warm up of the album, now that this one is out, I can tell you it's GREAT!

I listened to the whole album without never getting bored of it. The electro is still so good, the groove as well, all we liked from them.

The album is rearranged differently from the previous one, making the instrument and the electro at the same level, so we have a uniform sound in which the different sounds are fusing. It is the same for the voice which seems to be less present, almost part of the instrument.

Briefly, the album is more electro, but it doesn't mind as the jazz manouche style that they had and which made them so special, plus the dynamic of their music which made us dance until we run out of forces are still there.

So go and listen to the album at the bottom of the post! My favourite, Dramophone.

Je viens de voir ça aujourd'hui sur le facebook de Caravan Palace, je partage ;)
Il semblerai donc qu'ils ne jouent cette chanson que en live. Bah c'est dommage, on aimerai bien l'écouter à la maison aussi!!!
Checkez l'arrivée le nouvel album, il arrive le 5 Mars.

Caravan Palace: Clash EP (2011)

Vous aimez l'électro mais aimeriez que ce soit un peu plus dansant? Vous êtes fan de jazz manouch mais vous n'osez pas passez quelques chansons en soirée? Et bien mesdames messieurs, voici un groupe pour vous ! Amateur d'électro, vous ne serez pas dessus par Caravan Palace. Pour ceux qui ne savent pas ce qu'est le jazz manouch, la meilleur indication que je puisse vous donner c'est Django Reinhardt, quand au style d'électro qu'exploite Caravan Palace, je dirai Daft Punk ou Justice.

Si je vous dis electro-jazz vous allez me répondre Saint-Germais, Julien Lourau ou même Llorca, et vous avez raison. Mais aucun d'entre eux ne m'a fait autant danser que Caravan Palace. Leur différence? Le jazz manouch. En effet Caravan Palace, est un des rares groupes à avoir eu le cran de mélanger ce style avec de l'électro. Et finalement quand on y pense, c'est une combinaison qui se marie très bien. Le jazz manouch étant le plus souvent des chansons aux tempo rapide, et aux rythmiques répétitives avec des accords basiques; ça colle parfaitement avec l'électro.

Voilà donc Caravane Palace de retour avec leur nouvel EP, Clash. Après un très bon premier album en 2008 et leur single Suzy en 2009, nous l'attendions avec impatience ! Sortie le 3 Octobre dernier, Clash est plus excitant qu'un kilo de sucre mélangé à 3L de Redbull que l'on donnerait à un enfant hyperactif de 9 ans. Pour donner la couleur.

Alors allez écouter le nouvel EP de Caravane Palace et régalez vous les oreilles.

You like electro music but you would like it to be more dancing? You love jazz manouch but you feel ashamed to put some during parties? Well ladies and gentlemen, here is a band for you! Caravan Palace. For the ones who don't know what's jazz manouch, the best example I can give you is Django Reinhardt. About the kind of electro they play I would say Daft Punk or Justice.

If I say jazz electro, you'll answere Saint Germais, Julien Lourau or even Llorca. And you would be right. However, no one of them made me dance as much as Caravan Palace. What do they have more than the others? The jazz manouch. In fact, Caravan Palace, is one of the rare band which mix jazz manouch with electro, and which does it well. It is not the most common combination, but if we think, these two styles match up very well, as the jazz manouch use quite fast rhythm and basic chords.

So here is Caravan Palace's coming back with this new EP. After an amazing first album released in 2008 and their famous single Suzy in 2009, we were waiting for this EP!! Released last 3rd of October, Clash is more exciting  than a kilo of sugar mixed with 3L of Redbull the hole given to an 9 years old hyperactive boy. Just to situate the EP ;)
